Glen Parkinson, a graduate from the Film & Television Institute in Fremantle WA, is sharing his innovative expertise at C.Y.O’Connor TAFE, Northam, as a Video Production lecturer.  Glen also owns and operates his own WA Film Company, G.A.P Films and Documentaries .

Multimedia Course Coordinator, Maria Girak, and Glen are introducing a new industry qualification, the Certificate IV Interactive Digital Media course.  The industry entry level course will involve students gaining current skills and knowledge in film production, graphic and web design including multimedia authoring. 

The Digital Media classes have created student interest with Glen showcasing film production and video techniques.  Students are being prepared professionally to work with industry standard cameras and editing software. Employment opportunities exist in a range of media based industries including Film and Television – a camera operator, script writer or technical crew, or students can be involved in local community based projects, while the techniques delivered enhance the recreational production of DVD’s, digital camera skills and photo and image editing skills.
